Ok, pretty soon (probably after fingers) I'm going to lose count. First thanks for your comments and notes of support. We really appreciate seeing them!
Day 2 night...We had some heavy thunderstorms but nothing like what they had slightly north of us in Cheboygan. They had 70+ mph winds with old growth trees down including one that fell onto house killing a sleeping couple inside!! We are so lucky!!!
Day 3...we left Presque Isle for Rogers City on a 10-15 kt North wind and less than two foot wave forecast. Guess what...wrong! Most the trip was in 20-25 kt wind on our nose and 3.5-4 foot waves ( I swear there were a couple of fives in there too)!! UHGGG! Definitely a shake down-rock'n cruise. The best part of the trip was docking. It was blowing 15+ knots in the harbor and we had to negotiate a 180 turn in tight quarters to get in our slip. With excellent Admiral response and bow thruster...piece of cake! After a nice dinner we chilled and watched the Olympics.
Day 4...we stayed put in Rogers City to do stuff. Organize, wash (by the way Steve, Chris has put 10+ loads through the washer (most of them underway...loves it)), cleaned out AC & engine strainers, changed out fuel filters...and most importantly hung four towel bars and a hook.
We'd like to move North tomorrow but there is some weather coming in...we'll see. Rogers City is celebrating Marine Days...so maybe we will too!
Take care all!!!
